How did we get here?

Well, a college student picked up a crochet hook during lockdown and discovered something magical—a creative escape that also helped her focus through lectures. What started as a pandemic hobby quickly became a passion project. Soon, friends and classmates were requesting custom stuffed animals, and the emotional support eggs were born after a Christmas gift of a crochet book sparked pure inspiration.

The story grew when her mother's hand-painted ornaments made their debut at a craft show. Seeing people genuinely connect with her work gave her the confidence to keep creating. Now her pieces share space on this page alongside the handmade treasures that started it all. After outgrowing another platform, PenflowerMakes found its true home here—a space built to celebrate both the crochet creations and painted pieces that bring joy to every order.
